MitoPilot is an R package that orchestrates mitogenome assembly and annotation from genome‑skimming data, offering a Nextflow workflow and a Shiny interface for project management and result curation. Version 1.5.8 adds the ability to link samples to NCBI BioSample records via direct or SRA accession identifiers, exposing BioSample attributes, related BioProjects, and GenBank‑ready export fields through a new NCBI tab.
